Additionally the Broken Arrow 23km to be held on June 21, will be the sole selection race for the 2026 USATF Long Mountain Team that will compete in Poland on September 19, at the WMRA World Cup Long Distance Mountain Running finale.
The organizers of the Broken Arrow Skyrace welcome and appreciate media coverage. However, we take our media access policy very seriously. As such, any unlicensed, commercial usage will trigger legal action and financial implications. This policy outlines the rights and responsibilities of media representatives who wish to access the event site, course, and participants. As a condition of accreditation, and access to an event we've worked so hard to build, images and footage may NEVER be sold or distributed by any means to third parties. All photographs taken at the event are only to be used by the credentialed individual for non-commercial purposes, unless otherwise granted by the Broken Arrow Skyrace.
Commercial rights require a separate licensing agreement and we expect all applications to offer complete transparency in terms of how respective media will be used. If you are an independent/freelance individual/business capturing content that will be used for ANY commercial use, we require a complete explanation of what this will look like.
These details pertain ONLY to the members of the media who are reporting on the event for established media outlets for news or editorial purposes AND content creators, photographers, videographers, etc. working for commercial purposes. Generally, the Broken Arrow Skyrace defines media as:
-
Those who are in the business of content capture/creation as their primary source of income.
-
Those journalists, photographers, videographers or social media/internet personalities who are on a specific assignment from an established media organization.
-
Anyone involved in the creation of a film, regardless of duration, outlet or type.
-
YouTube creators, podcasters or internet personalities.
All media representatives who wish to cover the Broken Arrow Skyrace must apply for media accreditation prior to the event. Media accreditation is granted at the sole discretion of the organizers and may be revoked at any time for any reason. If you are coming with a team, please note that EVERY member is required to possess accreditation.
Realize that any lack of cooperation can lead to your runner being disqualified.
The general public is not eligible for media accreditation at the Broken Arrow Skyrace.
All credentials will be available for pickup during a MANDATORY media briefing on Thursday, June 18th, 2026 at 5pm, location TBD.
Media accreditation will be granted by June 11th, 2026 and all eligible parties will be notified via email, whereby a legally binding contract is required. If accredited, you will receive further instructions in regards to race weekend, including where to pickup your badge, the date and time of the MANDATORY media gathering, a designated course map containing all associated content capture zones, and more.
The deadline for submission is June 10th, 2026 by 12pm PST.
